Aadujeevitham was released
in March 2023 and is based on the acclaimed novel of Benyamin and follows the
migrant worker’s harrowing journey. The film’s score and soundtrack have played
an important role in amplifying its international appeal and emotional depth.
The HMMAs,
organized by the Hollywood Music in Media Academy, honor original music across
different visual media platforms, including video games, films, TV shows, and
more. The 2024 nominees represent the perfect combination of emerging talents
and celebrated veterans.
Rahman has
been joined on this illustrious list by global music icons such as Pharrell
Williams, Elton John, Miley Cyrus, and well-known composers like Harry
Gregson-Williams, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, Hans Zimmer, and Kris
Bowers. This recognition underscores the resonance of Aadujeevitham on a global stage.
The award
ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Avalon Theatre in Los Angeles on
November 20.
